A Superior Aquatic Environment

Patent Pending

The AquaZoo Aquatic System provides a superior environment for both fresh water and marine life. A modern display that commands attention for your prized specimens.

An environment free from aggression and predation
An environment with superior water quality

Fish aggression and predation result in lost fish stock.  Isolating species results in greater profit potentials.  The predation free environment not only reduces stress but increases the ability to provide care for your specimens.  Isolated specimens are more easily monitored, both their feeding and behavioral characteristics, providing an opportunity for better care. The customers can also focus on your specimens.

The AquaZoo Aquatic System provides a gravel free environment.  Gravel provides a media for harmful bacteria.  Gravel also collects fish waste and detritus which can also contribute to the formation of harmful bacteria.  The gravel free environment allows waste and detritus to settle to the bottom of the tank where the “bottom-current” continuously sweeps it into the sedimentation area of the filter.  The compartments look cleaner without waste on the bottom and they are more easily maintained and provide a less disease prone habitat.

The AquaZoo Aquatic System provides a high capacity filtration system that helps create a superior aquatic environment.  One third of the tank volume is dedicated to the three-stage filtration system.  Over-filtering provides a healthier and more stable tank that can support a larger volume of specimens without crashing. Better filtration supports a larger number of bacteria to maintain a balance between fish life and biological ability to handle their waste.  The 36 inch AquaZoo system uses 5 sponges as bacterial media, each with 98 cubic-inches of volume.  The sponges are provided with the tank and hold the beneficial bacteria that biologically filter the water. Filter cleaning is easy since the sponges can be serviced one at a time and thereby less disruptive to the essential bacteria needed in the system. The almost 500 cubic-inches of media for bacteria create a high-capacity system for a small 13 gallon tank. The 9-watt, 200 gallon-per-hour pump provided with the system creates a turnover rate of more than 15 times per hour. This means that the entire tank volume of water is “processed” through the wet-dry filter 15 times per hour. Additional space is available in the filter for activated carbon in filter bags and submersible heaters. Several locations are available for air-diffusion to increase oxygen in the water for the filter bacteria and the aquatic specimens.

A Cost-Effective System

You will need less fish to look fully stocked
The compartments are only seven inches deep and eight inches tall; providing a proximate space for inspecting the specimens. Each compartment can house either individual specimens or groups of compatible specimens.  The customers can focus on individual specimens since they are always within seven inches for easy viewing.  A sleek modern look for your prized specimens.

Reduce fish loss
Isolating specimens reduces losses from aggression and predation.  Isolating specimens also facilitates care-taking by tracking individual feeding and behavior more easily.

Built-in low maintenance wet-dry filtration system
The 3-stage wet-dry filtration system provides high-capacity biological filtration.  Additional room is available in the filter for activated carbon, air diffusers and submersible heaters.

More floor space with rack systems less than 16”
We sell rack systems that hold The AquaZoo Aquatic System in a vertical stack, 5 tanks tall spaced 16 inches apart in height. The minimum depth of the rack system is 13 inches.  The rack systems are constructed from steel and provide a stable system for vertical storage. The tanks can be supported by the side panels in this open rack system that allows easy removal of tanks for service.

 A Superior Filtration System

Innovative Design Creates a Revolutionary
Waste & Detritus Cleaning System

The patent pending hydrodynamic design creates currents along the outside of each of the compartments that continuously infiltrate filtered water and remove waste water.  The aquatic specimens enjoy a low-current habitat within the half gallon compartment. This unique engineered design feature creates the bottom-current that sweeps waste and detritus into the sedimentation area of the filter.

Providing a Superior Aquatic Environment

High-Capacity Triple Filtration System

The wet-dry filter system contains 4 gallons of water in 3‑Stages. It processes up to 200 gallons of tank water per hour through 500 cubic inches of biological filter media.

1st Stage Filtration:  The tank water and waste flow into the sedimentation area where solids settle to the bottom and water flows through the first filter stage providing mechanical filtration of solids and preliminary biological activity. The user can also install mechanical aeration in this stage.

2nd Stage Filtration:  Water flows from the 1st Stage into the 2nd Stage through a drip system that aerates the water, dispersing the water over additional media for aerobic biological filtration. The user can install plants in the top of the drip system media, increasing the system’s capacity to process nitrates.

3rd Stage Filtration:  Water is pumped from the bottom of the 2nd Stage into the 3rd Stage pre‑filter area. Water flows through the 3rd Stage filter for additional biological treatment to polish the water. The user can also install mechanical aeration and a chemical absorption system in this stage.

The Patent Pending AquaZoo Compartmentalization System

Walls Make Good Neighbors

The AquaZoo Aquatic System provides your specimens a safe environment allowing them to flourish.  A space free from aggression and predation, reducing stress and increasing survivability.

When specimens have their own space:

  • They are free from agression & predation; reducing stress and improving health.
  • You can observe individual feeding and activity, providing better tracking of specimen condition.
  • Customers can focus on individual specimens for purchase, increasing the likelihood of a sale.
  • The compartments keep specimens in view so fish don't get "lost" as they do in big tanks; better for customer vieweing and inventory control.

The AquaZoo Aquatic System provides more favorable breeding conditions:

  • Breeding fish can be separated but still in full view; safe from aggressive breeding behavior.
  • Breeding males/females can be housed downstream of each other to promote increased activity.
  • Fish fry can be carried downstream into an adjacent compartment free from parental aggression & predation, increasing fry yield.
  • The compartments keep breeding fish in view; better for monitoring status & conditions.
